Minesweeper mechanics: step by step through the minefield

The objective is simple: cross from one edge of the field to the other in a set number of moves (from 3 to 15). Each move involves choosing one of 2–6 cells, one of which hides a bomb. If you hit a mine, the game ends with an explosion and a light puff of smoke on screen. Safe cells are marked with a red flag, and you can move forward, increasing the multiplier with each successful step. The Collect button lets you claim your win at any time before exploding.

Field settings and maximum multiplier

BGaming lets you choose the field size: from 3 to 15 cells horizontally and from 2 to 6 vertically. The larger the field and the number of moves, the higher the risk and potential multiplier—up to x15.11 maximum. Low volatility means frequent payouts but smaller amounts. The design references the original computer game, but here each safe step brings a real multiplier. Other mines (mines) from different providers may differ in grid and mechanics.
