Fire Portals — slot review and demo

Magical theme and 7×7 grid

Fire Portals is set against a backdrop of mysterious mountains, where the 7×7 game grid features symbols of magical artefacts: potions, rings and hourglasses. The visual design follows a dark fantasy aesthetic with an emphasis on mysticism and alchemy. Winning combinations are formed in cluster fashion: you need to collect five or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically.

Cascades, Wild portals and growing multipliers

After each win, the cascade mechanic triggers: winning symbols disappear and new ones drop from above until no new combinations form. The slot's feature is the special Fire Portal Wild symbols, which substitute for all symbols except Scatter. A Wild appears randomly in the area of a winning combination if there was not already a Wild symbol in it. Each Fire Portal Wild starts with a ×1 multiplier, and with each new win involving it the multiplier increases by ×1 and the symbol moves to a new position. If two or more Wilds appear in one winning combination, they merge and their multipliers are added together.

Free spins with sticky Wilds

Three or more Scatter symbols on a single spin trigger the free spins round—a minimum of 10 free spins. The main difference in the bonus round: all Fire Portal Wilds that appear on screen remain in their positions until the end of the round. If Wild symbols were present on the winning spin that activated the bonus, they are also locked until the end of the free spins series.

96.06% RTP and wide bet range

The slot operates with a return to player of 96.06%, which corresponds to average values for cluster slots. Minimum bet is 0.2, maximum is 300, allowing you to choose a comfortable risk level. Volatility is not officially stated, but the mechanic with cumulative multipliers and sticky Wilds in bonuses suggests medium-high variance.
