Gladiators — slot review and demo

Gladiator battles on the reels of Gladiators

Endorphina chose the theme of Ancient Rome for the slot, but with an unexpected twist: instead of people, fish gladiators fight in the arena. The symbols are rendered in stylised graphics — fish with swords, shields, riding seahorses. The slot's design references the popular gladiator tournaments that were the main entertainment for Romans, but adapts this idea into a marine fantasy.

Free spins mechanic with teams and sticky wilds

The slot uses a 5×3 grid with 21 paylines. The Wild substitutes for all symbols except bonus ones. Three or more scatters in any position trigger free spins: 3 symbols give 10 spins, 4 symbols give 20, and 5 symbols give 50. During free spins, after each spin a winning team is determined among the gladiators — the one with more symbols on the reels. All wins are multiplied by x2. Each gladiator from the winning team receives a laurel wreath that remains in place for the next spin and becomes a wild. The wreath is removed if a gladiator does not land on its position after the next spin. Free spins can be retriggered within the feature. The highest paying symbol is the fish on a seahorse — five such symbols pay 100x the bet. The fish with sword and shield pays 48x for a combination of five. A gamble feature and Bonus Pop function are also available.

RTP 94.76% and high volatility

The return to player in Gladiators is 94.76%, which is below the industry average. Volatility is high — payouts are rare but potentially large. The bet range from 0.01 to 5 per spin allows you to adjust your budget for different strategies. Before playing for money, bear in mind that high variance requires a bankroll reserve for long stretches without wins.

Demo version without registration on the slot page

You can try Gladiators in demo mode on this page — the 'Play demo' button is above the text. The game runs on virtual credits, no registration or deposit required. It's a convenient way to study the free spins mechanic, see how the gladiator teams and sticky wilds work, and check the frequency of bonus rounds. In Ukraine, demo mode is available without restrictions; to play for real money you need a PlayCity licence and must be at least 21 years old. Other games by the studio are collected in the Endorphina slots section, and you can compare operator terms in the online casino rating.
