Mustang Gold — slot review and demo

Wild West and mustangs on five reels

Mustang Gold takes you to the American prairies of the gold rush era. The slot is built on five reels with a minimum bet of 0.01 and maximum of 5. RTP of 96.53% is above average for video slots, indicating balanced return. The developer is Pragmatic Play, a studio known for mechanics with money symbols and jackpots.

Money symbols, collectors and jackpot round

Money symbols with multipliers from 1x to 35x appear on reels 1–4. When a collector symbol lands on the fifth reel, it collects all visible money symbol values. If the collector lands simultaneously with a jackpot value, the Jackpot Reveal round triggers: you need to reveal three matching symbols to claim one of four fixed jackpots — 50x, 100x, 200x or 1,000x bet. Three scatters activate the bonus game with eight free spins, where money symbols and collectors appear more frequently on the reels. The bonus can be retriggered indefinitely: every three scatters on reels 2–4 add another eight spins.

Volatility and win potential

Maximum win is 12,000x bet. The developer doesn't specify volatility, but the presence of jackpots and bonus rounds with multipliers suggests a medium-high risk level: large payouts come less frequently but can be substantial. Players should consider this when choosing bet size.
