Journey along Route 66 in Hit The Route slot
Hit The Route takes you into the atmosphere of classic American road movies: retro cars, bright billboards and thousands of miles of Route 66 highway connecting Chicago to Los Angeles. BGaming has recreated the spirit of the Old West on a 5x4 game field with 40 paylines. The slot was released in December 2020 and has since offered players a combination of nostalgic visual style and modern mechanics.
Bonus features and game mechanics
Hit The Route features several types of Wild symbols. Stacked Wilds can occupy part of a reel or its entire height in the base game and when Mystery Wilds are activated. Mystery Wilds appear randomly in the base game and trigger one or more Wild-wheel symbols; when five or more such symbols land, one respin is activated with sticky Wild-wheels and the possibility of retriggering. Free spins start when three girl scatters land: the player receives 5 free spins, and the scatters turn into Wild-girls for the entire round. Each new Wild-girl that lands during free spins adds one more free spin. During free spins and respins, Sticky Wild is active—Wild-girls and Wild-wheels remain on the reels until the end of the bonus round.
RTP 97.18% and medium volatility
The slot operates with a return to player (RTP) of 97.18%—this is above the industry average. Medium volatility means a balance between frequency of payouts and their size: large wins up to x4588 the bet are less common, but completely empty sessions are almost non-existent. The bet range is from 0.01 to 1 per spin. The hit rate for winning combinations is 4, and the free spins activation rate (FS Rate) is 91, indicating regular triggering of bonus rounds. More games from the studio can be found in the BGaming slots catalogue.
